Red Artisan Mug

It is early morning and I am sitting in my studio with a hot cup of coffee in my favorite mug.

It is very Red. It makes me very Happy.

A few years ago, we visited Asheville, North Carolina. Asheville is a lot like Portland, especially with the artist scene. We stumbled upon a hidden studio of E.C. Racicot. I fell in love with his work immediately, especially when I saw the stunning red pieces in one corner of his working studio.

I had my heart set on two pieces of his work but I didn’t have room in my luggage to bring it back with me… Fast forward a couple of months, in Portland, the pieces showed up at our house! It was my anniversary gift from my better half!

I have been using my red mug everyday from that day forward…
