As I am working on this piece, with every stitch punched, I am closer to my Southwest…

I was raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico until I moved to Portland, Oregon in 1996. It is a fact that I have now lived in the Pacific Northwest almost longer than I have lived in the Southwest.

Well… I would like to overlook the plain fact and remind all of you that I am a New Mexican, from the Southwest, through and through. At least I would like to think so…

Last time I visited NM was in the early 2000s just for the weekend. I am sure that if I am to visit right now, I would be so lost because it would have changed so much.

I visited Arizona last October and I actually cried at the airport because I did not want to leave my Southwest. I love everything about the Southwest, the heat, the people, colors and everything in between…

I am enjoying every minute of creating my Southwest Collection. Stay tuned…
